The Sun Prairie Media Center is pleased to announce the unveiling of a new mobile app, now available for free download from the App Store or Google Play.
This new app, which can be found by searching “Sun Prairie Media Center” in either the App Store or Google Play, was developed by the SPMC in collaboration with a different provider than the previous SPMC app and therefore needs to be manually downloaded. It is an entirely new app and will not automatically update to users with the previous app on their device.
Similar to the previous app, the new app features live streams of the SPMC’s three video channels and radio station, as well as dozens of audio and video programs available to stream on-demand or download for off-line listening or viewing.
For those users of the previous SPMC app, that app can be safely deleted. Programming will not be updated on the old app.
“We are really thrilled about the introduction of this new and improved app,” said SPMC director Jeff Robbins. “It will be an easy adjustment for users of the previous app because it looks and operates very similarly to the previous app. But it is a definite improvement to the previous app as it is cleaner, better organized, and simply works better. The load times are faster and the quality of the streams is superior.”
The new app mirrors the SPMC’s dedication to making its programming as accessible as possible to as many people as possible. In addition to the new app, SPMC programming is available to stream and view on-demand on Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV devices as well as on sunprairiemediacenter.com.
The SPMC would like to thank its broadcast automation provider TelVue and the Bank of Sun Prairie for the development and sponsorship of the app.
