Sun Prairie football returns to KSUN! SPMC is planning coverage of every home game for Sun Prairie Cardinals and Sun Prairie Wolves. Home games are scheduled to be broadcast on KSUN Now (Spectrum cable channel 983, TDS channels 983/1983). All games will be streamed on sunprairiemediacenter.com, on the SPMC Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV channels, and on the free-to-download Sun Prairie Media Center app. Home games are also scheduled to air live on 103.5 FM The Sun Community Radio. Following live coverage, games will re-air on both KSUN Now and Life (TDS channel 985) channels for additional viewing. Here’s your child’s chance to write and produce their own videos by joining the one-of-a-kind KIDS4 program! KIDS4 is an after-school media production program run by the Sun Prairie Media Center designed for students in 4th through 8th grade.   In KIDS4, students are trained in many areas necessary to create their own television and video productions including cameras, lighting, sound, directing, producing, writing, editing, and animation. While students work with adult staff, their creativity is unfiltered, and their work is entirely their own. By creating their own media messages, students become smarter and more critical consumers of others' media messages. The Sun Prairie Media Center is pleased to be partnering with the Sun Prairie Area School District for a live broadcast of the 2024 Sun Prairie High School graduation ceremony, held this year at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Madison on Friday, June 7, 2024, as well as the 2024 Prairie Phoenix Academy graduation ceremony, to be held in early June. The SPHS West ceremony will start at 5:00pm and the SPHS East ceremony will start at 7:30pm. SPMC’s coverage will be seen live on KSUN Now Charter channel 983 or TDS channels 983/1983. Staff at the Sun Prairie Media Center are excited about the weather getting warmer because that means the return of summer workshops!If you know of someone aged 9-14 who loves to make videos, movies, or even podcasts and wants help taking their creativity to the next level, then you need to sign them up for these workshops!These workshops are designed for budding journalists, filmmakers, actors, and social media influencers who want a fun and creative way to express themselves. Another Groundhog Day in Sun Prairie has come and gone. Thanks to loyal volunteers at KIDS4 and The SUN, we will have memories from this event. KIDS4 crewmembers Olivia and Madeline got up bright and early to brave the cold weather on February 2 and headed down to Cannery Square to see what Jimmy had in mind for the upcoming weeks. Also, Team Milewski (Todd, Sara, Megan and Wyatt) helped broadcast the event live on the radio. The Sun Prairie Media Center is pleased to announce the unveiling of a new mobile app, now available for free download from the App Store or Google Play. This new app, which can be found by searching “Sun Prairie Media Center” in either the App Store or Google Play, was developed by the SPMC in collaboration with a different provider than the previous SPMC app and therefore needs to be manually downloaded. It is an entirely new app and will not automatically update to users with the previous app on their device. Sun Prairie Stories is a new program on 103.5 FM, WLSP-LP, Sun Prairie’s Community Radio station. It debuts Monday, September 11 at 11:30am. Episodes re-air at 5:30 on Thursday afternoons, and can be streamed any time on the Sun Prairie Media Center app. Hosted by SPMC volunteer, Sara Milewski, Sun Prairie Stories grew out of a limited-run pandemic project she did to take the place of the Sun Prairie Multicultural Fair. On the Multicultural Fair Radio Reboot, she interviewed community members who are active in community agencies that serve communities of color in Sun Prairie and Dane County. “My favorite part about doing the Multicultural Fair Radio Reboot was hearing people’s stories.
