“Reel Reviews,” Sun Prairie’s very own informative, fast-paced, insightful, intelligent, and funny weekly 30-minute movie review program, is celebrating two milestones: The taping on February 22 marked the show’s 200th episode and this April marks the show’s fourth anniversary on Sun Prairie’s KSUN TV channel. The show has been produced and hosted by Jamison Rabbitt and Michael Roth since the program’s premiere. To celebrate, the Sun Prairie Media Center is hosting a special screening of the new film “Avengers: Infinity War” at Marcus Theatre’s Palace Cinema at 2830 Hoepker Road on Saturday, May 5, 2018. The Sun Prairie Media Center has been following Cardinal basketball all season and now the SPMC is going with the boys’ team to their first-ever state boys’ basketball tournament appearance! 103.5 FM The Sun Community Radio will have the live call from the Kohl Center on Friday night beginning at approximately 8 PM. As they have all season, Mike Mathison and Getonn Harper will anchor the broadcast and provide the hometown call for Cardinals fans. Wisconsin Community Media has announced this year's winners in the radio categories of the 2018 Best of the Midwest Media Fest. The Sun Prairie Media Center is thrilled to announce that no fewer than eleven awards have been won by producers of original shows created for 103.5 FM. Residents in Sun Prairie who have subscribed to TDS’s TV service are now able to view Sun Prairie’s local channels KSUN and KIDS-4. The Leadership Sun Prairie class of 2017-2018 had its annual "Communications and Media" day on Wednesday, November 15, and where better to be for media training than the Sun Prairie Media Center? The class -- comprised of 16 of Sun Prairie's brightest professionals from all walks of life -- learned about television, radio, and even mobile media-making tools with a decidedly hands-on approach. Participants starred in and hosted their own TV and radio segments and also filmed some mobile videos using iPads that had been purchased thanks to a grant from the Sun Prairie Education Foundation. All 62 students enrolled in the Sun Prairie Media Center’s unique KIDS-4 program are sporting brand new KIDS-4 shirts thanks to a $250 donation from the Sun Prairie Optimist Club and a matching $250 donation from Titley and Associates, an Allstate Agency! “This gift is tremendously generous,” said Sun Prairie Media Center director Jeff Robbins. “In years past, the shirts were an additional cost for families enrolled in KIDS-4. Therefore, not all kids received a shirt. This year, thanks to the Optimists and Titley and Associates, every child in the program gets a shirt.
