The Sun Prairie Cardinals had a very successful regular football season, going undefeated and winning their nine games by an average of 35 points.

But by all accounts, the Cardinals are just getting started.

The Cardinals defeated Madison Memorial in the first round of the WIAA playoffs on October 20 by a score of 35-0.

Next the #1-seeded Sun Prairie Cardinals will face #5-seeded Kettle Moraine in a second-round game this Friday, October 27. Kettle Moraine upset #4 Verona 28-19 in the first round.

Just as it has been there for all nine regular season games, the Sun Prairie Media Center has continued its coverage into the playoffs and will be broadcasting the October 27 game live on KSUN, 103.5 FM The Sun Community Radio, and sunprairiemediacenter.com. The SPMC plans to begin coverage at 6:45, with kickoff scheduled for 7 PM.

Many thanks to Bill Baker, Mike Powers, and Jamison Rabbitt for their calls this year. Thanks also to Marc Borland and Sarah Johnsrud for providing the video and audio.

2017 home game broadcasts can still be accessed online here.

Many thanks to our playoff football sponsors: Wilde East Towne Honda, Bank of Sun Prairie, Woodman’s, Prairie Lakes Dental, The Baker Realty Group, Sun Prairie Quarterback Club, Harms Insurance Group, and Ameriprint Apparel. Thanks for your support!
